MES system is in other words Manufacturing Execution System. It enables continuous monitoring of production and machine performance. MES class solutions are a combination of industrial automation and IT. They allow to collect data about the production and provide  user with the data in real time. It allows immediate response to any undesirable phenomena. Skillful use of collected data makes it possible to improve the efficiency of the plant and increases the efficiency of production processes. A MES system has a real, measurable financial dimension for the entity who decided to implement it in the plant. The main benefit of implementing a MES system is the improvement of production efficiency thanks to better use of machines.. This can be achieved by providing the user with accurate, clear information about the amount of production, quality of production, downtime of machines and their use.

A MES system consists of several components:

    • database server – where data is stored
    • PLC controllers – components that control machines and collect data directly from them
    • operator panels – allow the operator visual communication with machines and presentation of data from the MES
    • computers, tablets – designed for production managers, allowing the presentation of production reports.
